Keith Pearson was elected Mayor of Placentia for the first time in the September 2021 municipal Election after serving eight years as Deputy Mayor. Mayor Pearson has been very active serving on Council and has played a leadership role in various Council Committees including Executive, Finance, Recreation, Public Works, and Tourism.

Keith has over twenty-five years of managerial experience as Manager of Sobeys and presently with the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation in Placentia. Keith is an active volunteer who in his spare time enjoys taking part in activities such as walking, curling, recreation hockey, and refereeing. Keith is a lifelong resident of Dunville where he resides with his wife Isabel.
