Frank Davis is Assistant Vice President, Green Fuels and Canada Country Head for Pattern
Energy. He leads Pattern Energy’s business development activities in green fuels, including green hydrogen and green ammonia production and export projects in the United States and Canada.

He also acts as the senior representative for Pattern Energy in Canada, with responsibility for market development, government relations, community engagement, joint venture partnerships and relationships with customers.

Prior to joining Pattern Canada in 2011, carried on a commercial legal practice with one of Canada’s largest law firms. He sits on the board of the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) and, originally from Newfoundland & Labrador, currently resides in Toronto where he manages the Toronto office of Pattern Canada.

Honourable Gerry Byrne
Minister of Immigration, Population Growth & Skills MHA for the District of Corner Brook Government of Newfoundland & Labrador

Gerry Byrne has had a long and successful career in federal politics, having served as the Member of Parliament for Humber – St. Barbe – Baie Verte beginning in 1996. Mr. Byrne was re-elected six times to the Parliament of Canada.

From 2002 until 2004, Mr. Byrne served as the Minister of State for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency; the youngest cabinet member in Newfoundland and Labrador history. He was parliamentary secretary to several key cabinet members. He has also served in a lead role on a number of influential government standing committees.

Prior to entering politics, Mr. Byrne worked as an economic development officer on the Great Northern Peninsula, during which time he was involved in numerous projects from varying segments of the provincial economy, including the renewable and non-renewable resource sectors. He was born and raised in Corner Brook. Mr. Byrne completed his post-secondary education at Dalhousie University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

Mr. Byrne was appointed Minister of Advanced Education and Skills on December 14, 2015, and Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources on July 31, 2017. He was appointed to serve as Minister of Immigration, Skills and Labour and Minister Responsible for Workplace NL in August 2020. On April 8, 2021, he was sworn in as Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills.

AXES.ai, a Fintech specialized in the land-based gaming industry and present in more than 40 countries, is dedicated to the eradication of money laundering, addictive gambling, and illicit activities through real-time IoT driven and cloud-based collection, artificial intelligence, and know your client (KYC) cashless solutions.

Earle is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada and a Canadian Military Officer Veteran. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and has undertaken doctoral studies in Organizational Psychology. He has received numerous accolades in his career including an honorary doctorate from TIUA in Georgia, USA.

Earle has delivered two TEDx on neuroscience and human behavior and was a Master’s Degree Teacher for ten years in Information Management and Emerging Technologies at the National Academy for Public Administration in Canada.

Earle is a proud Newfoundlander from Placentia, Placentia Bay and speaks globally on the culture and way of life on this tropical island in the North Atlantic as he calls it.

Honourable Andrew Parsons
Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology

The Honourable Andrew Parsons was first elected in 2011 to represent the district of Burgeo – La Poile. He has previously served as Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Attorney General, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, and Government House Leader.

Andrew is a lawyer, an ambitious leader, and a passionate ambassador for Newfoundland and Labrador. Born and raised on the southwest coast of Newfoundland, Minister Parsons is an advocate for innovation, regional development, and economic diversification.

As Minister of Industry, Energy, and Technology, Andrew is accelerating growth, developing a thriving start-up ecosystem, and helping set Newfoundland and Labrador up for success for years to come by promoting and showcasing the province’s energy and technology sectors to the world.

Andrew holds a Law Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2005.
